Wonderful LiTerraCon the three-day festival of science fiction and fictional worlds is ended up. Here Gregory and his friends were able to find many like-minded people and friends. Look at our short photo-report.
At the festival we lectured about how fiction is used for training. For you, we publish a short version of it.
Fantastic worlds as a tool for education
Been asked "Who do you want to be when you grow up?" most of us answered that we would like to be a princess or wizard, or Knight.
This is the value of fantasy universes. There we can be anyone, anywhere. Fiction gives the opportunity to experience an adventure that can be quite impossible in real life. This not only allows to explore your own inner world more deeply, but also to understand the world around us more fully. Through books, films, animations, and games at any time, we can go back to Neverland or go on a Captain Flint treasure hunt, help the magician Karolinusu to defeat Red Wizard and save the world of magic.
In addition to the pleasure of the entertainment fiction effect, such products frequently offer us valuable life lessons and form such important concepts as "good" and "bad."
From childhood tales about dirty pigs and evil wolves not only taught us conventional social norms, but also get access to a unique body of knowledge of society in which we live.
With the emotions and experiences through which a person is sinking into a fantastic universe, it's easy to transfer knowledge, which usually seems to be boring and not interesting.
This principle is revealed in working with children particularly well. Suggest your child solving of 30 examples or defeating the dragon, and he definitely choose the latter. Therefore, our team decided to use this approach in their training games.
Thus a number of projects was born.
We used the most classic formula: the magical world living by its own laws and the leading character affecting its fate with his acts.
And, of course, every game has its antagonist, the victory over which is particularly valuable as it takes a lot of effort.
Due to the fact that our games pulls children into the cycle of miracles, education for them is transformed into a colorful and fascinating process, inflaming thirst for new knowledge. So it is the main objective of both training and science fiction in general, isn’t it?
